1
Stand facing the VKR (vertical knee raise) machine with feet shoulder-width apart. Grasp the upper handles with both hands, allowing arms to hang naturally. Maintain upright posture with shoulders engaged and core engaged.
2
Grip the handles firmly with palms facing inward. Position your body against the backrest if available for stability. Ensure your weight is evenly distributed and shoulders are packed down and back.
3
Slowly lower your body by allowing your arms to extend downward in a controlled manner. Feel the stretch across your chest as you descend. Maintain slight bend in elbows throughout the movement.
4
Push through your hands and chest muscles to drive your body back up to the starting position. Squeeze the chest at the top of the movement. Return to the starting position with control without locking out elbows.
