1
Stand facing the cable machine with feet shoulder-width apart, positioned approximately 2 feet away from the machine. Maintain upright posture with core engaged and hands ready to stabilize on the frame if needed.
2
Attach the cable handle to the low pulley. Grasp the handle with one hand at chest level for balance. Position your body sideways to the machine with the working leg nearest to the cable station. Keep your torso stable and upright throughout the movement.
3
Slowly lower your body by bending both knees in a controlled manner, allowing your working leg to flex while maintaining tension on the cable. Descend until your back knee approaches the ground or until you reach a comfortable bottom position, keeping your front knee aligned over your ankle.
4
Drive through your front heel and extend both knees explosively to return to the standing position. Push through your quadriceps to straighten the leg and return to the start position with control. Maintain cable tension throughout the movement.
