1
Stand facing the cable machine with feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent. Grasp the rope attachment with both hands at chest level, maintaining an upright torso position.
2
Position yourself at arm's length from the cable machine. Ensure the cable is set at mid-chest height. Grip the rope firmly with both hands and step back slightly to create tension in the cable.
3
Slowly extend your arms forward and upward in a controlled manner, allowing the cable to pull your torso backward and your core to lengthen. Keep your core engaged throughout the eccentric phase to maintain tension.
4
Drive through your abdominal muscles to pull the rope toward your torso in a crunching motion. Flex your spine by drawing your ribcage toward your hips and rotate your torso slightly to engage the obliques. Return to the starting position with control.
