1
Sit on the bench with back firmly against the backrest, feet flat on the floor. Grasp the handles with both hands at chest level, elbows bent at approximately 90 degrees. Maintain neutral spine alignment with shoulders relaxed.
2
Position hands slightly wider than shoulder-width on the handles. Ensure wrists are neutral and core is engaged. Take a deep breath to prepare for the movement.
3
Slowly allow the handles to return toward your body by letting your chest muscles lengthen. Control the eccentric phase over 2-3 seconds, resisting the cable tension. Elbows should track naturally inward without collapsing.
4
Drive the handles forward and slightly upward by contracting the chest muscles. Extend arms to near-full extension without locking elbows. Exhale during the pressing motion. Return to starting position in a controlled manner to complete one repetition.
