1
Stand upright in the center of the cable machine with feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent, and core engaged. Position yourself equidistant from both cable pulleys.
2
Grasp both cable handles with a neutral grip (palms facing inward) at approximately chest height. Keep a slight bend in your elbows throughout the movement.
3
Slowly allow the cable handles to move backward and outward in a controlled manner, creating an arc with your arms. Feel the stretch across your chest as your shoulder blades retract slightly. Maintain upright posture without arching your back.
4
Drive the handles forward and inward by contracting your chest muscles, bringing both hands together in front of your body. Return to the starting position with control, stopping just before the weight stack touches down.
