1
Stand centered between two cable machine pulleys with feet shoulder-width apart. Set pulleys to shoulder height. Grasp handles with neutral grip (palms facing inward), arms at sides in neutral position.
2
Engage core and maintain upright posture. Keep a slight bend in elbows throughout the movement. Ensure shoulders are relaxed and depressed initially.
3
Slowly lower the cable handles in a controlled manner by allowing shoulders to depress and arms to return toward the sides. Maintain neutral spine and resist momentum. Light resistance felt in deltoids.
4
Drive shoulders upward by contracting deltoids, raising arms out laterally to shoulder height in a smooth arc. Achieve a slight isometric hold at the top. Return to starting position with control.
