1
Stand facing the cable machine at chest height with feet shoulder-width apart and knees slightly bent. Position yourself in the center of the machine with both cable handles at chest level.
2
Grasp both cable handles with a neutral grip (palms facing inward) at chest height. Maintain an upright posture with core engaged and shoulders stable. Pull handles slightly back to establish starting tension.
3
Slowly allow the cable handles to move backward and outward in a controlled arc, permitting shoulder adduction and slight elbow extension. Feel the stretch across the chest as arms extend, maintaining control throughout the eccentric phase without allowing momentum to dominate.
4
Drive the handles forward and together in a smooth arc by contracting the chest muscles, adducting the shoulders and bringing the hands together at chest center. Return to the starting position with control, squeezing the chest at peak contraction before repeating.
