1
Stand facing the cable machine with feet shoulder-width apart, positioned at a comfortable distance from the machine. Maintain an upright torso with slight forward lean and engage your core throughout the movement.
2
Attach the cable handle to your foot using the ankle strap. Position yourself with the working leg slightly behind your body. Hold onto the machine frame or attachment point for balance with both hands.
3
Slowly extend your leg forward by straightening the knee joint against the cable resistance, allowing the working leg to move forward in a controlled manner until the knee reaches near full extension.
4
Powerfully drive the cable backward by flexing your knee, pulling your foot toward your glutes against the resistance. Return to the starting position with control, maintaining tension on the quadriceps throughout the concentric phase.
