1
Stand upright between two cable machines with feet shoulder-width apart, maintaining neutral spine and neutral head position. Engage core in neutral posture with arms at sides.
2
Grasp the cable handle from the machine at approximately chest height with a neutral grip. Position body equidistant from both machines. Slight bend in knees is acceptable.
3
Slowly allow the cable to pull the torso into extension by relaxing the abdominal muscles while maintaining a stable lower back. Controlled lengthening of the rectus abdominis through spinal extension.
4
Powerfully contract the abdominal muscles to flex the trunk, pulling the torso forward and downward toward the pelvis. Return to neutral upright position with controlled tension throughout the concentric phase.
