Stand facing the cable machine with feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent. Position the cable attachment at approximately chest height or slightly below. Maintain upright posture with core engaged and shoulders back.

Grasp the handle with a neutral grip (palm facing inward). Step forward slightly to create tension in the cable. Position your body so there is mild tension on the cable even at the starting position.

Slowly allow the cable to pull your arm back across your body in a controlled manner. Maintain a slight bend in the elbow throughout the movement. Feel the stretch across the chest and front shoulder as the handle moves behind your body.

Drive the handle forward and inward across your body using chest muscle contraction. Squeeze the pectoralis major at the end range of motion where your arm is positioned across your midline. Return to the starting position with control.
