1
Stand facing the cable machine with feet shoulder-width apart. Position yourself in the center of the machine with the cable handles at chest height. Maintain an upright posture with core engaged.
2
Grasp the cable handles with both hands using a neutral grip (palms facing each other). Keep elbows slightly bent and shoulders relaxed. Stand far enough from the machine to create slight tension in the cable at the starting position.
3
Slowly allow the cable to pull your hands apart and backward in a controlled manner. Keep elbows at chest height and maintain a slight bend throughout the movement. Feel the stretch across the chest as your arms spread open.
4
Drive your hands forward and together by contracting the chest muscles. Bring the handles together in front of your body at chest level. Pause briefly at the peak contraction, then return to the starting position with control.
