1
Stand facing the cable machine with feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent, and core engaged. Position yourself at an appropriate distance from the machine to allow full range of motion.
2
Grip the cable handle with both hands using an overhand or neutral grip. Keep your chest up and shoulders back in a neutral position.
3
Pull the cable handle downward and toward your torso by extending your elbows and retracting your shoulder blades. Lower the handle in a controlled manner to approximately waist level, maintaining an upright torso throughout the movement.
4
Extend your arms back to the starting position by allowing the cable to pull your arms back up with control. Resist the tension and return to full arm extension without locking out completely.
