Sit on the machine seat with back firmly against the backrest, feet flat on the floor or footrest. Grip the handles at chest height with arms bent at approximately 90 degrees, elbows aligned with shoulders.

Adjust the seat height so handles align with mid-chest level. Grip handles with a neutral wrist position and firm grip. Engage core and maintain upright posture throughout the movement.

Slowly allow the handles to move backward in a controlled manner, resisting the weight as the chest muscles lengthen. Keep elbows at shoulder height and maintain contact with the backrest.

Press the handles forward and together by contracting the chest muscles, driving through the entire range of motion. Return to the starting position with control, stopping just short of full arm extension.
