1
Stand facing the cable machine with feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent. Position yourself at a distance where the cable has tension at the starting position. Grasp the handle with a neutral grip at chest height.
2
Hold the handle at chest level with your arm extended outward to the side, elbow slightly bent. Maintain an upright torso position with core engaged and shoulders back.
3
Slowly allow the cable to pull your arm backward and outward in a controlled manner, resisting the pull of the weight stack. Feel a stretch across the chest as your arm moves back.
4
Drive the handle forward and inward by contracting the chest muscles, bringing your hand across the midline of your body in a controlled arc. Squeeze the chest muscles at the endpoint, then return to the starting position with control.
