Stand facing the cable machine with feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent. Position yourself at an appropriate distance from the machine where the cable attachment is at or slightly above chest height.

Grasp the cable handle or attachment with both hands using an overhand grip slightly wider than shoulder-width. Keep your core engaged and maintain an upright posture with shoulders back and chest open.

Slowly pull the handle downward and toward your torso in a controlled manner, allowing your elbows to bend and move away from your body. Feel a stretch in the latissimus dorsi as the cable extends upward, resisting the weight.

Pull the handle down until your hands reach mid-chest level or until your elbows are fully flexed. Squeeze the back muscles at the bottom of the movement, then slowly return to the starting position with control as the cable returns the handle upward.
