1
Sit on the machine with feet firmly planted on the footrest, maintaining an upright posture with a neutral spine. Grasp the overhead handle with both hands using a neutral or slightly wider grip.
2
Depress the shoulders and engage the core. Maintain a slight bend in the elbows throughout the movement to protect the elbow joint and maximize lat activation.
3
Slowly release the handle by extending the arms upward in a controlled manner, allowing the weight to rise. Keep the torso stable and resist the urge to lean forward. The movement should take 2-3 seconds.
4
Pull the handle down toward the chest by driving elbows down and back, squeezing the lat muscles at the bottom position. Return to the starting position with control, completing the repetition in 1-2 seconds.
