1
Kneel facing the cable machine with the rope attachment at head height. Position yourself at a distance where the cable has tension at the starting position. Grasp the rope with both hands at ear level, keeping elbows bent and close to the head.
2
Establish a stable kneeling stance with knees hip-width apart. Engage your core and maintain a neutral spine. Ensure the rope attachment is secure and the weight stack is set to an appropriate load.
3
Slowly reverse the movement by extending your spine and allowing your torso to move upward and backward in a controlled manner. Resist the cable tension throughout the eccentric phase, maintaining constant tension on the abdominals.
4
Initiate the movement by flexing at the waist and pulling the rope downward while crunching your torso forward. Drive your elbows toward your knees in a powerful controlled motion, maximizing abdominal contraction at the bottom of the movement before returning to start position.
