Grasp the rope or handle attachment with both hands using an overhand grip, arms extended overhead. Position feet hip-width apart on the floor behind you for stability and balance.

Slowly lower the cable attachment by extending the arms upward and allowing the torso to lean slightly forward, creating tension in the latissimus dorsi. Control the movement with a 2-3 second eccentric phase, resisting the cable's upward pull.

Drive the elbows downward and back, pulling the cable toward the chest while maintaining a slight forward lean. Squeeze the lats at the bottom position, then return to starting position with controlled movement over 1-2 seconds.
