1
Sit on a bench inside a cable crossover machine with back support. Position body upright with shoulders relaxed. Adjust cable height to approximately mid-chest level.
2
Grasp each cable handle with a neutral to slightly pronated grip. Hands should be at shoulder width. Step forward slightly to create tension in the cables at the starting position.
3
Slowly allow the cables to pull your hands backward and outward in a controlled arc. Feel a stretch across your chest as your arms extend behind your torso. Maintain a slight bend in your elbows throughout the movement.
4
Press the handles forward and together in a smooth arc, bringing hands to cross in front of your body at chest level. Squeeze the chest muscles at full contraction. Return to starting position with control without letting cables snap back.
