1
Stand facing the cable machine with feet shoulder-width apart. Position one foot on the footplate with the leg extended, keeping your torso upright and core engaged throughout the movement.
2
Grip the handles of the machine for balance and stability. Ensure the cable attachment is secured around your working foot or leg. Maintain an upright posture with shoulders back and chest open.
3
Slowly bend the knee of the working leg, lowering the footplate in a controlled manner while keeping your standing leg stable. Allow the weight to create resistance as your quadriceps lengthen. Maintain upright posture without leaning.
4
Drive through the working leg and extend the knee forcefully, pushing the footplate away from your body while contracting the quadriceps. Return to the fully extended starting position with controlled speed, avoiding locking out the knee at the top.
