1
Stand facing the cable machine with feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent. Position yourself at a distance where the cable attachment is at chest height. Maintain upright posture with core engaged.
2
Grasp the cable handle with one hand using a neutral grip. Keep your arm extended to the side at approximately shoulder height, creating tension in the cable. Your elbow should be slightly bent throughout the movement.
3
Slowly allow the cable to pull your arm back and across your body in a controlled manner, stretching the pectoralis major. Feel the stretch across the front of your chest as you lengthen the muscle under tension.
4
Drive the cable forward and across your body by contracting your chest muscles, bringing your arm back to the starting position. Squeeze at the end range of motion, then return slowly to the stretched position to complete the repetition.
