1
Stand facing the cable machine with feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent, and core engaged. Position yourself at a distance where the cable attachment is at approximately shoulder height.
2
Grasp the cable handle with both hands using a neutral grip, keeping elbows slightly bent. Ensure the cable is taut with minimal tension at the starting position.
3
Slowly pull the cable handle toward your body by retracting your shoulders and bending your elbows, allowing the shoulder blades to retract posteriorly. Control the eccentric movement over 2-3 seconds as the cable returns to the starting position.
4
Drive the handle back to the starting position by extending your arms and protacting your shoulders. Complete the movement with controlled acceleration, squeezing the shoulder and back muscles at full extension.
