1
Sit on the machine seat with your back upright and feet flat on the floor or footrest. Grasp the overhead handle with both hands using a shoulder-width grip, arms fully extended above your head.
2
Maintain an upright seated posture with core engaged. Ensure your shoulders are relaxed and depressed (not shrugged). Establish a firm grip on the bar with palms facing away.
3
Pull the handle down toward your upper chest in a controlled manner by retracting your shoulder blades and flexing your elbows. Lower the bar until it reaches approximately upper chest level while maintaining upright posture.
4
Return the handle to the starting position with controlled movement, allowing your arms to extend overhead while resisting the weight. Maintain tension throughout the eccentric phase to maximize lat engagement.
