1
Sit upright on a bench with your back against the backrest, feet flat on the ground, hands placed on the bench for stability, and core engaged to maintain proper posture throughout the movement.
2
Position one leg extended forward in a controlled manner with a slight bend in the knee. Keep the working leg elevated and ready to perform the lunge movement. Maintain an upright torso position.
3
Step forward with one leg, lowering your body by bending both knees until the rear knee approaches the ground and the front knee reaches approximately 90 degrees of flexion. Control the descent by allowing the front leg to absorb the load gradually.
4
Drive through the front heel and extend both legs to return to the starting position. Push forcefully from the quadriceps and glutes to stand upright on the bench. Alternate legs and repeat for the prescribed number of repetitions.
