Engage your core and keep your lower back pressed to the floor throughout the movement to maintain neutral spine alignment

Slowly lower the extended leg toward the floor in a controlled manner, bending at the knee while maintaining hip flexion, feeling the stretch and eccentric loading in the quadriceps

Drive through the extended leg to raise it back up toward the ceiling, fully extending the knee while maintaining hip flexion at approximately 90 degrees, then repeat on the opposite leg
