Bottle Weighted Russian Twist

Instructions

1
Sit on the floor with knees bent and feet flat on the ground or elevated. Hold a weighted object (dumbbell, plate, or medicine ball) with both hands against your chest. Recline back slightly with torso upright, maintaining neutral spine position.
2
Secure your feet firmly on the ground for stability. Grip the weight with both hands pressed against your chest near your sternum. Engage your core and brace your abdominal muscles before initiating movement.
3
Slowly lower your torso backward by extending through the lumbar spine, allowing controlled descent toward the floor while maintaining grip on the weight. Keep the weight close to your chest throughout the eccentric phase. Lower only as far as comfortable without losing core tension.
4
Explosively contract the abdominal muscles to drive your torso back to the starting seated position. Exhale forcefully as you curl your spine forward, pulling your ribcage toward your pelvis. Complete the repetition by returning to upright seated posture with the weight held at chest level.
