1
Sit upright on a sturdy box or bench with your torso erect and core engaged. Position feet flat on the floor, hip-width apart, with knees bent at approximately 90 degrees.
2
Grip the kettlebell or weight with both hands using an overhand grip at chest height. Maintain neutral wrist position and keep elbows flexed. Engage your core and maintain neutral spine alignment throughout the movement.
3
Slowly stand up by extending your hips and knees, driving through your heels. The kettlebell remains held at chest level throughout the movement. Control the ascent with deliberate, measured breathing.
4
Push through heels to fully extend hips and knees until standing upright. Briefly pause at full extension to maximize quadriceps activation. Reverse the movement by sitting back down with controlled deceleration, returning to the starting position on the bench.
