1
Sit upright on a bench with feet flat on the floor or footrest. Maintain an upright torso position with shoulders back and chest open. Grip the parallel handles with a neutral grip (palms facing each other).
2
Prepare by engaging your core and maintaining neutral spine alignment. Position shoulders slightly retracted. Grip handles firmly with slight tension in the lats before initiating movement.
3
Slowly lower your body by extending your arms overhead and leaning slightly backward, allowing the lats to lengthen. Control the descent as arms move upward and forward. Maintain upright posture without excessive backward lean.
4
Drive elbows downward and backward to return to starting position. Pull handles toward hips while adducting shoulders. Retract shoulder blades at the end range and squeeze lats maximally before reversing for next repetition.
