1
Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a barbell across the front of your shoulders with hands slightly wider than shoulder-width, elbows pointing forward, and chest upright.
2
Engage your core, maintain neutral spine alignment, and position the barbell securely on your anterior deltoids with a firm grip. Feet should be parallel or toes slightly turned outward.
3
Lower your body by bending at the knees and hips simultaneously, descending until your thighs reach approximately parallel to the ground or slightly below. Keep chest upright, knees tracking over toes, and weight distributed through mid-foot and heels.
4
Drive through your mid-foot and heels to extend the knees and hips, pressing back up to the starting position. Maintain an upright torso throughout the ascent without forward lean.
