1
Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a dumbbell in one hand at shoulder height with arm bent, palm facing inward. Maintain an upright torso with neutral spine alignment.
2
Grip the dumbbell firmly with one hand. Position feet flat on the ground with weight evenly distributed. Engage your core and maintain slight knee flexion throughout the movement.
3
Lower your body by simultaneously bending at the hips and knees, moving into a quarter squat or deadlift-like position. The dumbbell lowers as you bend forward at the hips, keeping the weight close to your body.
4
Drive through your heels and extend your hips explosively, returning to the standing position while maintaining upright posture. Squeeze the glutes at the top of the movement before repeating.
