1
Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a barbell with hands slightly wider than shoulder-width. Core engaged and neutral spine maintained throughout the movement.
2
Grip the barbell firmly with palms facing away from body (pronated grip). Position the bar at upper chest/shoulder level with elbows bent and pointing downward.
3
Lower the barbell in a controlled manner by bending the elbows, allowing the bar to descend toward the upper chest while keeping elbows at approximately 45-90 degree angle to the body.
4
Press the barbell upward by extending the elbows and driving through the shoulders, returning the bar to the starting position at arm's length overhead or slightly in front of the head. Maintain core stability throughout.
