Barbell Standing Close Grip Curl

Instructions

1
Stand upright with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a loaded barbell with hands shoulder-width apart using an underhand (supinated) grip. Keep your torso stable and core engaged throughout the movement.
2
Position the barbell at arm's length in front of your thighs with a supinated grip (palms facing forward). Maintain a slight bend in your knees and keep your elbows tucked close to your torso.
3
Lower the barbell in a controlled manner by extending your elbows, allowing the weight to descend toward your thighs while maintaining tension in the biceps. Keep your upper arms stationary and core tight throughout the descent.
4
Drive through the heels and curl the barbell upward by flexing at the elbows, raising the weight toward shoulder height. Squeeze the biceps at the top of the movement, then return to the starting position with control.
