1
Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent, holding a barbell with both hands at hip level using an overhand grip (palms facing down). Maintain neutral spine and engage core.
2
Position hands slightly wider than shoulder-width apart on the barbell. Ensure firm grip with wrists neutral. Stand tall with shoulders relaxed and chest up.
3
Slowly lower the barbell by bending elbows and allowing the weight to descend toward the shoulders and upper chest. Keep elbows tracking slightly forward. Lower with controlled motion for 2-3 seconds.
4
Drive through midfoot and press the barbell overhead in one continuous motion, fully extending elbows at the top. Barbell should travel in a straight vertical line. Return to starting position and repeat.
