1
Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a dumbbell in both hands at chest height with elbows bent and close to the body. Maintain an upright torso with a neutral spine and core engaged.
2
Take a deep breath and prepare to jump explosively upward. Position the dumbbell securely at mid-chest level and ensure feet are grounded with weight distributed evenly.
3
Lower your body by bending at the hips and knees simultaneously, descending into a quarter-squat or partial squat position. Keep your chest up and knees tracking over toes. This eccentric phase should be controlled and quick.
4
Explosively extend through the hips, knees, and ankles to propel your body upward off the ground in a jump. Drive through your heels and extend fully while maintaining the dumbbell position at chest height. Land softly with bent knees to absorb impact and immediately return to the starting position.
