Lie supine on a flat bench with feet firmly planted on the floor or bench. Grip the dumbbell with both hands, positioned at chest level, elbows bent at approximately 90 degrees.

Position the dumbbell directly above the chest with arms nearly extended. Ensure neutral grip with hands holding the inner plates of the dumbbell, core engaged and back flat against the bench.

Lower the dumbbell in a controlled manner by bending the elbows, bringing the weight down toward the chest in an arc motion. Keep elbows at approximately 45-60 degrees from the body. Stop when the dumbbell reaches chest level or slightly below.

Press the dumbbell upward and forward by extending the elbows, driving through the chest muscles. Return to the starting position with arms nearly fully extended, maintaining control throughout the movement.
