1
Sit upright on the exercise bench with feet planted firmly on the floor or footrest. Position your back against the backrest maintaining neutral spinal alignment. Keep your shoulders relaxed and away from ears.
2
Grip the barbell with hands shoulder-width apart using an underhand (supinated) grip. Position the barbell at thigh level with arms fully extended. Ensure elbows remain stationary against the sides of the torso throughout the movement.
3
Lower the barbell in a controlled manner by extending the elbows, allowing the weight to descend toward the thighs while maintaining constant tension. Keep elbows pinned to your sides and avoid swinging the weight. Continue until arms reach near full extension without locking the elbows.
4
Curl the barbell upward by flexing the elbows and contracting the biceps, driving the weight toward shoulder height. Maintain a steady controlled tempo and keep elbows stationary. Return to the starting position with arms extended, completing one full repetition.
