Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a barbell across the shoulders or dumbbells at shoulder height with elbows bent. Maintain an upright torso with neutral spine and engaged core.
2
Position feet with toes pointing slightly outward. Grip the barbell firmly with hands slightly wider than shoulders, or hold dumbbells with neutral grip at ear level. Engage core and brace abdominals.
3
Lower the body by bending at the knees and hips, descending until thighs reach parallel to the floor or below. Keep chest upright, weight in heels, and knees tracking over toes throughout the descent.
4
Drive through heels to extend knees and hips, returning to standing position. Maintain control throughout the movement and finish with legs fully extended at the top position.
