1
Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a barbell across your shoulders with an overhand grip, elbows pointing forward. Maintain an upright torso with neutral spine alignment.
2
Brace your core and position your feet firmly on the ground. Ensure the barbell is centered on your upper back/traps and secure your grip with both hands.
3
Lower your body by flexing at the hips and knees simultaneously, descending in a controlled manner until your thighs reach parallel to the ground or lower, keeping your chest upright and weight on your heels.
4
Drive through your heels and mid-foot to extend your hips and knees, returning to the starting position with power. Keep your torso upright throughout the entire concentric phase.
