1
Lie flat on a bench with feet planted firmly on the floor, gripping the barbell with a close to medium grip width and holding it directly above your chest with arms extended.
2
Lower the barbell in a controlled arc toward your upper chest and neck area by allowing your elbows to bend while keeping your upper arms relatively stationary and angled slightly back toward your head.
3
Continue the descent until the bar reaches your upper chest or just above it, maintaining control and feeling a deep stretch in your triceps at the bottom position.
4
Press the weight back up to the starting position by extending your elbows and contracting your triceps, following the same arcing path until your arms are fully extended above your chest.
