1
Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a dumbbell at chest level with both hands, elbows bent and close to torso. Maintain neutral spine with chest up and core engaged.
2
Grip the dumbbell firmly with both hands cupping the weight near your collar. Position feet parallel with weight distributed evenly across all four corners of feet.
3
Lower your body by bending at knees and hips simultaneously, descending in a controlled manner as if sitting back into a chair. Keep chest upright, knees tracking over toes, and dumbbell positioned at mid-chest height throughout the descent.
4
Drive through heels and midfoot to extend knees and hips, returning to standing position. Maintain dumbbell at chest level and squeeze glutes at top position before repeating.
