1
Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a barbell across the front of your shoulders at collarbone level with elbows high and core engaged. Maintain an upright torso with neutral spine alignment.
2
Position your grip just outside shoulder-width on the barbell with elbows pointing forward. Ensure your weight is distributed evenly across your midfoot and heels are firmly planted on the ground.
3
Inhale as you lower your body by simultaneously bending at the knees and hips, keeping your chest up and elbows high. Descend until your thighs are parallel to or slightly below parallel to the ground, maintaining a neutral spine throughout.
4
Exhale and drive through your heels and midfoot to extend your knees and hips, returning to the starting position. Maintain an upright posture and controlled movement throughout the ascent.
