1
Stand upright with feet hip-width apart, holding a barbell across the upper back and shoulders with hands positioned slightly wider than shoulder-width. Keep your chest up, core engaged, and spine neutral.
2
Establish a firm grip on the bar, brace your core, and position your weight evenly distributed across your feet with toes pointing slightly outward.
3
Lower your body by bending at the knees and hips, descending in a controlled manner while keeping your chest elevated and knees tracking over your toes. Continue until thighs are parallel to or slightly below parallel to the ground.
4
Drive through your heels and midfoot to explosively extend the hips and knees, returning to the starting standing position. Maintain an upright torso throughout the ascent.
