1
Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a loaded barbell across your upper back and shoulders with a pronated grip slightly wider than shoulder-width. Maintain neutral spine alignment with core engaged.
2
Position the bar securely on your traps, engage your core, and prepare by taking a deep breath. Ensure feet are planted firmly with toes slightly pointed outward.
3
Lower the weight by bending at the hips and knees simultaneously, maintaining a neutral spine with a slight forward lean. Keep the chest up and knees tracking over toes. Descend until thighs reach parallel to the ground or slightly below.
4
Drive through heels and extend hips and knees simultaneously to return to standing position. Maintain rigid spine throughout. Complete full hip and knee extension at the top of the movement.
