1
Stand upright with feet hip-width apart, holding a resistance band or cable attachment at waist level with both hands. Maintain neutral spine and engage core. Keep knees slightly bent throughout the movement.
2
Grip the band/cable firmly with both hands at hip height. Position feet firmly on the ground, shoulder-width apart. Ensure slight knee flexion and engage core muscles for stability.
3
Hinge forward at the hips by bending forward while keeping the back relatively straight and knees slightly bent. Allow the torso to fold forward, feeling a stretch in the hamstrings. Lower the band/cable towards the floor in a controlled manner, maintaining tension on the hamstrings.
4
Drive through the heels and contract the hamstrings to extend the hips, returning to the upright standing position. Squeeze the glutes at the top of the movement. Return to starting position with control, maintaining tension throughout the movement.
