1
Stand upright with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a jump rope with both hands at waist level. Keep chest upright, shoulders relaxed, and core engaged. Position hands at sides with slight elbow bend.
2
Hold the jump rope handles firmly with neutral grip. Ensure the rope is positioned behind you at ground level. Stand on the balls of your feet with weight distributed evenly across both feet.
3
As you initiate the jump, perform a squat movement by flexing the knees and hips, lowering your center of mass while simultaneously rotating the rope overhead. The quadriceps lengthen as you descend into the loaded position.
4
Explosively extend the knees and hips to propel your body upward, jumping over the incoming rope. Land softly on the balls of both feet with knees slightly bent to absorb impact. Immediately begin the next squat cycle as the rope completes its rotation.
