1
Sit on the floor facing the pull-up bar with legs extended and feet planted firmly against the base of the frame. Maintain an upright torso with neutral spine alignment and shoulders retracted.
2
Grasp the horizontal bar with both hands using a wide grip (hands wider than shoulder-width apart). Ensure a firm, overhand grip with wrists neutral and elbows slightly bent.
3
Lower your body by extending the arms and allowing the bar to move away from your torso as your torso moves forward and downward in a controlled manner. The movement is a horizontal pulling motion where you lengthen the latissimus muscles through horizontal abduction of the shoulders.
4
Pull the bar back toward your torso by retracting your shoulder blades and flexing your elbows, driving your chest toward the bar. Return to the starting position with controlled movement, fully engaging the lats at the point of maximum contraction.
