1
Stand facing a cable machine with feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent, and core engaged. Position yourself at mid-distance from the pulley system with the cable attachment set at upper chest height.
2
Grasp the cable handles with a neutral grip (palms facing each other). Bring hands together in front of the chest with slight elbow bend, establishing the starting position with tension on the cable.
3
Slowly allow the cable handles to separate and move backward in a controlled arc, feeling a stretch across the chest. Maintain the slight elbow bend throughout and keep your torso stable without leaning back excessively.
4
Drive the handles forward and together using chest muscles, pressing through a wide arc until hands meet at center chest. Squeeze the pectorals at the peak contraction, then return to starting position with control.
