1
Stand facing the cable machine with feet shoulder-width apart, positioned inside or beside the cable frame. Maintain an upright posture with core engaged and slight knee bend.
2
Grip both cable handles with a neutral or slight pronated grip. Position cables at approximately chest height or slightly above. Stand in a staggered stance if needed for stability and balance.
3
Allow the cables to pull your arms back and slightly outward in a controlled manner, creating a stretch across the chest. Maintain a slight bend in the elbows throughout the eccentric phase. Keep your torso upright without leaning backward.
4
Press both cables forward and together across your body in a wide arc, bringing your hands to meet in front of your chest. Squeeze the pectorals at the peak contraction. Return to the starting position with controlled tension, resisting the cable pull.
