1
Stand facing a cable machine or suspension trainer with feet hip-width apart, knees slightly bent. Grasp the handle or rope attachment with one or both hands at approximately shoulder height or slightly above, with arms extended.
2
Position your body at an angle to the cable machine, maintaining neutral spine alignment. Engage your core and keep your shoulder blades retracted in preparation for the pulling motion.
3
Slowly lower your body backward by extending your arms, allowing the cable to pull you forward and down. Keep your body in a straight line from head to heels while resisting the cable tension. Feel the stretch in your lats and chest.
4
Drive through your heels and powerfully pull your body back toward the anchor point by retracting your shoulder blades and flexing your lats. Bring your torso upright while maintaining a stable core, returning to the starting position with control.
