1
Sit on a bench or chair with feet positioned under a leg extension pad or held by a partner. Back is reclined at approximately 45 degrees with upper back supported. Hands can be placed behind the head or crossed over the chest.
2
Secure your feet under the leg press pad or have them anchored. Engage your core and maintain neutral spine alignment. Position your body so that hip flexion can occur with full range of motion.
3
Slowly lower your legs in a controlled manner by extending at the hip and knee joints, allowing gravity to pull your legs down toward the floor while maintaining tension in the abdominal muscles throughout the movement.
4
Drive your legs upward by contracting the rectus abdominis and iliopsoas, flexing at the hips to raise your knees toward your chest. Return to the starting position with legs extended but not locked at the top of the movement.
